This Site is dedicated to all those families of the people that have tragically disappeared on flights in and around New Zealand. I  only hope that from all the effort in building this site and from all the effort of those taking part in this venture, that it will bear fruit in bringing ‘closure’ to their memories!

Steven did this, and here is an image showing the direction of travel that Glen remembers Jimmy saw it fly:


This direction (direction of pen) became very important as on later questioning Glen as to the height of what Jimmy had seen these lights travel past, turns out according to Glen, it was below the top of the hill shown just to the left of the “clicker” end of the pen.


Trying to get it all clear in my head, I then went back to Google Earth as I had a hunch that maybe Jimmy had thought it had gone over the range shown as “3” in this above image and I wanted to see if this was possible... especially if he observed this plane going “down”.... could it have made it that far?

I did this by drawing a line across the highest points of the ridge of the hill opposite his position:

And then having a ‘look’ on GE from ‘Jimmy’s position”:
