This Site is dedicated to all those families of the people that have tragically disappeared on flights in and around New Zealand. I  only hope that from all the effort in building this site and from all the effort of those taking part in this venture, that it will bear fruit in bringing ‘closure’ to their memories!

I have included here a cropped image from the aerial photo that shows the Corsair and I have included another that I have drawn the rough shape of the aircraft to give an idea of the way the Corsair lays. This is due to the fact that different people see different things in a photograph such as this.

I believe that this is the correct way of seeing it as the object measures out correctly as that of a Corsair using the measuring tool available on Google Earth.

The image is rather blurry, but you need to keep in mind that it was taken from an altitude of 16000 ft and taken 37 months after the Corsair disappeared, so much of the vegetation has recovered!

We will have to wait to see what next summer produces!

Many thanks to John Byers, who without his help and funding this search would not have been possible.
