This Site is dedicated to all those families of the people that have tragically disappeared on flights in and around New Zealand. I  only hope that from all the effort in building this site and from all the effort of those taking part in this venture, that it will bear fruit in bringing ‘closure’ to their memories!

However, Mr Galvin’s account, I now believe was the last officially recorded sighting of ZK-AFB. It’s strange how these things EVOLVE!!!

Report 47 in “LOST”: ... Mr Galvin was in the valley behind the Cardrona Hotel and “saw a black twin engined aircraft flying towards Invercargill”.

The fuselage painted dark blue out to and including the engines, would appear black in contrast to a cloudy overcast sky.

Mr Galvin said it was heading towards Invercargill:

Note: Cardrona Valley is in line with Invercargill... so it is fair to say it was simply flying along the valley when he saw it...

I spent a lot of time pondering over this as if Chadwick had made it this far, they would have easily made it into Queenstown as they were at that point only around 12 n.miles away from there, and would have most certainly have been found years ago if they had crashed in that area.
