This Site is dedicated to all those families of the people that have tragically disappeared on flights in and around New Zealand. I only hope that from all the effort in building this site and from all the effort of those taking part in this venture, that it will bear fruit in bringing ‘closure’ to their memories!

The following week on the 30th November 2010, the weather was still holding out, so Les O’Shea and I set off again for the Wai Wai Stream/Ravine.
As mentioned on the previous page, NZ Aerial Mapping had overflown the region just two weeks prior and had supplied me with an up to date high resolution aerial photo of the area that we were searching.
After overlaying it on Google Earth, it was amazing to see the places we had walked the previous week and it was very easy to picture in your mind exactly what it looked like from ground level.
When we arrived there, it did turn out to be very easy to locate the correct search spot as we were, by then, so familiar with the layout of the land.
