This Site is dedicated to all those families of the people that have tragically disappeared on flights in and around New Zealand. I only hope that from all the effort in building this site and from all the effort of those taking part in this venture, that it will bear fruit in bringing ‘closure’ to their memories!

The 1973 photo was particularly clear, so I looked at this area very closely.
It was here that I found what looks very much like a tunnel entrance, but this was
not the entrance that I came out of!

To the right is the possible entrance zoomed in, and enhanced a little to try to
see it more clearly. The black shape to the right of it is a shadow of what may be
a tunnel vent and if you look closely, you can see the lid on it. Both of these are
no longer there, in fact there is a tree growing in it’s place.
When I was looking over the 1950 aerial photo, I noticed right on top of the summit
of North Head, that it seemed different to what it is today, and so I then compared
it to the next photo in the timeframe....1959.... I was stunned!
The 1950 photo showed two very obvious tunnels, one especially as it had a well worn
track to it across the grass, but when you compared it to the 1959 photo, there was
nothing...
Just a flat area of ground! It took quite a bit of time to really grasp it all as
it was so obvious.
The ‘Possible Excavation’ in the LH photo, I later discovered that this was a water
tank and the ‘tailings’ was just caused by the tank over flowing.
These are only two of the many apparent tunnel evidences Martin and I found over
the intensive period of research of my involvement into these mysteries, and I have
published these two here to ‘wet’ your appetite into this fascinating subject!
My suggestion is to buy Martin’s book, read it, and come to your own conclusions.
My conclusion to date is that Martin does know what he is talking about, and the
majority of the many eyewitnesses accounts, although some sounding far fetched, were
accurate!
